Milton High Athletics Office Announces Fall Sports Sign-up Schedule

The Athletics Department will be holding fall sports sign-ups in the Athletic Office next to Copeland Fieldhouse beginning Friday, August 12. Eligible students will be given Clearance Cards, allowing them to start team practices on August 25.

The sign up dates are times are as follows:

• August 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• August 15-18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• August 22-25 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Students interested in signing up for a fall sport need to have the following to sign up:

• Academic eligibility from the previous academic school year. All incoming freshmen are eligible.
• A current copy of their physical from a physician dated within 13 months.
• A check made payable to “MHS Athletics” for $250 or a receipt for online payment.
• A signed “Parental Permission” slip.

If a student meets the above criteria they will be given a “Clearance Card.” The card needs to be presented to the prospective student-athlete’s coach in order to try out for the team.

Signing up after August 25 puts the student-athlete at risk for missing 20 percent of their team’s scheduled games. Opportunities to tryout or play may also be affected by late sign ups.

Online payments can be done here. Students who pay online are reminded to print the receipt and bring it to registration.
