Milton Man Named to Catholic Schools Foundation Board

MILTON - Milton resident Brendan McCarthy, an executive at Nyes Ledge Capital Management, has been named to the board of trustees for the Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF). The foundation supports programs and services that offer the best educational opportunities for all students at Roman Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Boston.

McCarthy is the Founding Partner of Nyes Ledge Capital Management, a hedge fund of funds. Nyes Ledge investors are predominantly foundations and endowments.

“Brendan’s commitment and skills will be an invaluable resource in helping us make a deeper impact on the lives of the students we serve,” said Michael Reardon, executive director, Catholic Schools Foundation.

Prior to starting Nyes Ledge McCarthy was the Director of Hedge Fund Research at Cambridge Associates from 1995 to 2005 and a Managing Director starting in 1999. Prior to joining Cambridge he was Director of Research at Lake Partners from 1991 to 1994, advisor to Optima Fund Management a hedge fund of funds business. Previously, he was employed at the American Express Company and the General Electric Investment Corporation.

McCarthy is a graduate of Tufts University and Columbia Business School.
