Milton Rotary Club to Present Concert for 350th Anniversary
The Milton Rotary Club will host Milton Musical Pops, a concert featuring the Milton High Orchestra, on April 12 at Fuller Village as part of the town's 350th anniversary celebration.

The Milton Rotary Club, sponsor of the Baron Hugo Lira Musical Series, presents Milton Musical Pops for seniors as part of the Milton 350th Anniversary Celebration.
Milton Musical Pops will be held at on Thursday, April 12, at 3:30 p.m., when the Orchestra will entertain the senior citizens, as they join with friends at an occasion for graceful informality, easy intimacy and celebration in a “POPS” atmosphere.
Reservations are required, but admission is free, as Baron Hugo Lira left a small fund in the care of the Milton Rotary Club to be used for the enhancement of music in the community. Baron Hugo, a well-known bandleader to the hotel and ballroom circuit in and around Boston for more than 60 years, also donated the money used to build the gazebo in town.

Since the students must pay a fee of $100 to participate in the music programs or have to pay to participate in musical festivals, $1,000 will be donated from the Baron Hugo fund to help offset these costs. The Music Director will determine how these funds are used.
The Milton Rotary Club will accept donations to the Baron Hugo Lira fund in order to replenish the fund and thus continue this series of music events for seniors.
Contributions can be made to Milton Rotary Club, Attn: Baron Hugo Lira Fund, Box 243, Milton, MA 02186.
