No Charges for Police Officer in Fatal Milton Crash
The officer will not be charged in the death of 18-year-old Kate Lisa Etienne.

MILTON, MA - An off-duty Boston police sergeant that fatally hit a Milton teenager will not face charges.
State Police spokesman David Procopio told the Boston Globe that an investigation into the incident determined that the victim, Kate Lisa Etienne, 18, entered Brush Hill Road at Aberdeen Road from behind a parked vehicle and was mostly obscured from the view of oncoming motorist.

The Norfolk County District Attorney's office and state police said Sergent Warren Hoppie was not driving at excessive speed, was not using a cellphone, and was not under the influence drugs or alcohol.
In March, Etinne was killed when she crossed Aberdeen Road and was hit by a vehicle. The car swerved into the median in an attempt to avoid the Etienne.

Etienne was taken to Boston Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
