Pierce Middle School Placed on Lockdown Yesterday
Students and staff were held in place for almost two hours Wednesday after a report that a student may have a gun.
Between 1 and 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Pierce Middle School was under lockdown while police searched the premise for a weapon. According to Boston.com a student was taken into custody.
The lockdown occurred after a report that a student had a gun. After searching some lockers and the school's perimeter with gun sniffing dogs, it was determined the weapon was not on school grounds.
