Notable incidents from the week of May 24 to May 28

May 24- 5:26 a.m.- The Fire Department was notified after a caller reported a deer had fallen into her swimming pool on Century Lane. The animal was rescued and returned to the wild.

May 27- 10:15 p.m.- One adult male was arrested for receiving stolen property and a violation of auto laws after a motor vehicle stop on Central Avenue and School Street. The vehicle had been reported stolen by the Taunton Police Department. It was towed by Blue Hills Towing.

May 27- 3:20 p.m.-  A fire hydrant was damaged in an apparent hit and run incident on Wolcott Road. The Department of Public Works was notified and reported the hydrant has been taken out of service. The Fire Department was then notified.
