Police Log: Alcohol Bottles Fly, Fire Department Saves Cat on a Roof

This is an excerpt from the Milton Police Log from Friday, July 9 to Sunday, July 11.

  • At 11:05 p.m. Friday, A Blue Hills Parkway resident reported there was an unknown vehicle parked in his driveway and a suspicious male standing near his garage. Subsequently the vehicle left and was stopped by police. The suspicious person stated he was relieving himself and that was why he was on the property. Subject was sent on his way.
  • At 11:55 p.m. Friday, A Blairfield Road resident reported a vehicle and several persons were blocking her driveway when she returned home. The caller reported the vehicle and persons have since left, but are now further down the street blocking the roadway. The reporting officer located two small groups. One group went inside a residence and the other left the area. Approximately 30 minutes later, a caller reported a large group of people congregating in the same area. The responding officer reported the group was already moving upon arrival and were not on the roadway.
  • At 2:54 a.m. Saturday, A Metro Cab driver reported two persons fled his cab at Eliot Street and Cliff Road without paying the fair. The officer could not locate the suspects.
  • At 9:23 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported that while driving down Randolph Avenue, the vehicle in front of him was throwing alcohol bottles out their window. Officers searched the area with negative results.
  • At 10:04 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a vehicle had been sitting at the intersection of Brush Hill Road and Milton Street for approximately five minutes. Police requested Fallons for an evaluation of the operator. One party was transported via Fallon to the Milton Hospital. The vehicle was left at Brush Hill Road and Neponset Valley Parkway until the owner is able to remove the vehicle.
  • At 10:05 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a large gathering of youths possibly drinking alcohol at a neighbors home on Garden Street. Officers report the youths were sent on their way and all the alcohol was seized and destroyed.
  • At 10:28 a.m. Sunday, two parties walked into the police station to report their dogs got into an altercation at Cunningham Park.
  • At 7:44 p.m. Sunday, A caller reported an unknown dog in her yard at Longmeadow Road that was foaming from the mouth. The reporting officer discovered the dog belonged to a neighbor and was not rabid. The owner was located.
  • At 10:36 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported her cat is stuck on the roof on Meadowview Road. The Milton Fire Department was called and handled the situation.
