Police Log: Fireworks Mistaken for Gunshots

  • At 4:31 p.m. Friday, an officer reported a motor vehicle stop on Waldeck Road. One party was placed under arrest for warrant service.
  • At 8:50 p.m. Friday, Chief Wells reported a youth fight at Milton High School. Fallon was notified to respond. Chief Wells reported patient refusal.
  • At 11:20 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported hearing what sounded like gunshots in the area of Sheldon Street. An officer reported residents setting off fireworks.
  • At 4:46 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a possible brush fire. Milton Fire was notified to respond. An officer reported a resident operating a chainsaw and there was no fire.
  • At 11:11 a.m. Sunday, an officer located a dog on Canton Avenue. The officer attempted to contact the owner with negative results. The dog was transported to the Animal Shelter.
