Registration Open for "Israel- Palestine: A Sacred Journey"

Guided Tour to the Holy Land Scheduled for Spring 2016

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church invites individuals seeking a historical and life transforming experience to register for “Israel-Palestine: a Sacred Journey”. The trip is scheduled for March 29 to April 9, 2016, with an optional extension into Petra from April 9 to 12. The journey is open to all parties interested in exploring a fascinating area of the world. Participants will take part in a number of dynamic lectures and conversations on the Holocaust, archaeology, Bedouin culture, and the possibilities for lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians. The pilgrimage will include time for worship, prayer, reflection, sightseeing and learning, and provide a deeper understanding of the culture and religion of the many people who live in Israel and Palestine.

St. Michael’s parishioner and Milton resident Heather Putnam designed this custom trip in conjunction with MEJDI Tours, the soul tour operator to Israel for National Geographic tours. An experienced travel agent of more than twenty years, Heather is a graduate of Milton Academy, Hollins University, and the Travel Education Center in Cambridge, MA. She has led pilgrimages to Israel, Turkey, Greece, Italy, and Spain, and is a certified Israel specialist. Parishioners and clergy from St. Christopher’ Episcopal Church in Chatham and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Nantucket will also participate in the journey.

Registration is now open via the Sacred Journey’s website or contact St. Michael’s Church office at 617-698-1813. Spots are limited and the deadline to register is November 29, 2015.
