RIVERSIDE THEATRE WORKS REGISTERS STUDENTS FOR 'BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR'

Registration is now open for Riverside Theatre Works’ April Vacation Week musical, “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr.”

Riverside’s all-youth musical is an annual tradition featuring students ages 7 to 18, who are led by a professional director, choreographer, and music director. Months of weekly rehearsals lead up to a full production on Riverside’s main stage, complete with sets, lights, and, usually, sellout crowds.

This year’s musical, based on the popular Disney movie, tells the fairy tale story of Belle, a beautiful bookworm in France. She winds up locked in an enchanted castle filled with singing tea sets, dancing utensils…and a mysterious beast.

All children who sign up for the production are cast in the show, which rehearses on Saturdays through April. Auditions, used to assign specific roles, will be held on January 10. Rehearsals begin on January 17.
