Sara Hickman at Milton Art Center on November 8
2010 Texas State Musician Sara Hickman makes a rare Boston area appearance at Milton's new home for the visual and performing arts.

In a career that spans over 25 years, Sara Hickman has won legions of admirers with her catchy melodies and joyful singing. An ardent activist, she once persuaded Willie Nelson and other Texas musical luminaries to record her songs for a benefit CD. Expect her to display her celebrated wit when she showcases songs from her latest release, the aptly named Shine.
Sara gained national attention with her 1990 hit “I Couldn’t Help Myself.” This led to an appearance on The Johnny Carson Show and a VH-1 special. She is one of the best-known musicians from the musically fecund city of Austin, Texas. Sara has recorded CDs for parents and children with great success.
The Milton Art Center is located at 334 Edge Hill Road in Milton, MA.
