Two Men Arrested for Failing to Stop, Ditching Narcotics During Chase

A Roslindale resident and a Boston resident allegedly threw bags of heroin and cocaine out of their vehicle after refusing to stop for Milton Police on Thursday evening.

arrested two men on Thursday, May 10, after they refused to stop, fled from police and threw up to 19 bags of narcotics out of their vehicle.

According to Deputy Chief Charles Paris, Candelario Espino, 21 of Roslindale, and Carlos Colon, 22 of Boston, refused to stop for officers just after 7 p.m. on Thursday. Field Training Officer Joseph Fahey and Timothy Doyle, one of Milton’s newest officers, pursued the red Ford Explorer onto Brook Road toward Canton Avenue.

Colon, who was operating the vehicle, eventually made a U turn on Truman Parkway before striking another vehicle on Brook Road near Blue Hill Avenue.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Boston Medical Center. Espino was also transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton, according to Paris.

During the pursuit, the suspects allegedly threw 12 bags of cocaine and 7 bags of heroin out of the SUV, which were recovered by the MPD.

Both men face charges of Possession of a Class A Substance- Heroin and Possession of a Class B Substance- Cocaine among other drug and vehicle charges.

The prisoners were held without bail after the incident.
