Volunteers Sought For Milton Youth Action Team

The Milton Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition is seeking rising 8th through 10th graders to participate in youth leader training sessions.

MILTON, MA — Milton teens interested in making a difference in the town are asked to join the Milton Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition's new Youth Action Team for the upcoming school year.

Teens entering 8th grade through sophomore year are asked to commit by early July to a series of Youth Leadership Trainings later in the summer. Those trainings will be held remotely until state regulations on gathering limits amid the coronavirus health crisis are eased.

The trainings will be focused on community planning, advocacy, public speaking and civic and political engagement. The goal is to develop a diverse group that can use their voices to advocate for their peers in Milton.
