LETTER: 'The Politics of Yesterday by Democrat-now-Republican Marty Lamb'

'I am a Republican because I believe our party has the vision and policies to bring our state and our country to a new era of greatness.'

Letter submited by -Ted Dooley, Holliston Republican Town Committee member

HOLLISTON, NATICK, MA -- Lies. Deceit. Spin. Negativity. Attacks. All things we have come to hate about politics, and rightfully so. Shouldn’t we demand more from our candidates?

I am a Republican because I believe our party has the vision and the policies to bring our state and our country to a new era of greatness. In that vein, I support candidates for all offices that can help bring that vision to reality. Within our party, that means growing our ranks, helping to show millennials that the Republican party has a home for them, reaching out to new groups, whether an election year or not, and most importantly, helping shape a positive vision through our party for communities across Massachusetts.

Unfortunately, Marty Lamb, former democratic donor to now-Senator Ed Markey (D), Senator Tom Daschle (D), and fmr. Rep. Martin Frost (D) is running a campaign that will take Republicans back and lower our standards. His campaign is once again a negative campaign filled with vicious attacks, and most unfortunately, explicit lies. I would encourage you to ask Marty why he is bent on lying about the Women’s Republican Club charter process and their status in a number of states around the country. It appears, however, he is bent on smearing one of our party leaders rather than articulate a vision for a party that can win and grow its ranks. Voters have rejected Marty’s campaign tactics not once – but twice. Never to be proven wrong by hundreds of thousands of voters across both the Metrowest area and former MA-03 congressional district, I encourage fellow Republicans to once again reject this deceitfully negative smear campaign.

As Republicans head to the polls on March 1st to cast their vote for a GOP nominee, we will also be asked to vote for members of our Massachusetts Republican State Committee – the governing body of our state party. I encourage you to speak up against the smears, speak up against the lies, and once again reject Marty Lamb’s negative politics of yesterday in favor of a candidates who are focused on organically growing our party with a vision for our future.
