Natick's Morse Institute Bookmobile Gets $4K Grant

The Morse Institute Library bookmobile has been delivering books to homebound seniors over 65 years.

NATICK, MA- The MutualOne Charitable Foundation announced it awarded $4,000 to the Morse Institute Library to help expand and improve the Library’s Bookmobile services.

“We are pleased to support the Morse Institute Library’s efforts to expand the resources offered through the Bookmobile program,” said Sousa. “It is important to remember that some of our neighbors cannot easily access the Library’s services.”

The Morse Institute Library bookmobile has been delivering books to homebound seniors over 65 years. The Bookmobile now visits senior housing, assisted living, nursing and rehab facilities. During the summer, the Bookmobile visits neighborhoods and community celebrations like the Family Night on the Common. Through the Bookmobile, the library is to provide access to materials to streets across Natick, including the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center.

The $4,000 grant to the Morse Institute Library was among awards totaling $128,068 in the MutualOne Charitable Foundation’s most recent round of funding.
