Free Parking: Kiosks Delayed in Natick Downtown
Until the parking kiosks go in, residents can park for free for two hours at a time.

Installation of new parking kiosks downtown is delayed, meaning people are able to park for free for two hours at downtown spots marked “pay at kiosk,” police said in an announcement on Natick’s website.
Lt. Brian Lauzon said installation of the kiosks is delayed due to the manufacturer. But, with winter approaching, workers needed to paint the parking spots with the words “pay at kiosk” now. Lauzon said people are able to park for free for up to two hours at the kiosk spots until the kiosks are in place.
Officials hope that policy will ensure the spots are utilized, he said in the release.

The kiosks will be installed by the Town Hall lot, intersection of Clarendon Street and South Avenue, Pond Street lot and Summer Street. Kiosks will be placed along natural walking routes from parking to downtown attractions, Lauzon said.
The new kiosks are part of overall upgrades to downtown parking, including new meters at other spaces. The new parking technology will accept smart cards, so people do not have to fumble with change, officials have said.
