NEEDHAM, MA — An arrest has been made in connection to the murder of 81-year-old Laura Shifrina. Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey and Needham Police Chief John Schlittler announced Thursday that the suspect is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning at Dedham District Court. <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/needham/woman-found-dead-needham-apartment-complex" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Shifrina was found dead</a> in her elderly housing apartment on Linden Street in Needham on May 31. "The Needham Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives attached to the Norfolk District Attorney's Office have been working at all hours of the day and night since Ms. Shifrina was discovered dead in her home," Morrissey said in a release. The identity of the suspect will be released at the arraignment.

Join the Rotary Club of Natick for the 23rd Annual Tour de Natick, a fun, family-friendly 6-mile bike ride through town.
