The Center Cafe Has Closed

NEEDHAM, MA — After about seven years of business, The Center Cafe is no longer open.

The restaurant has officially closed and owner Steve Waller told the Needham Times that the property was sold Monday. He said the main reason for the closure was due to a car crash involving his stepson and chef Jonathan Taufman.

Last month, the selectmen approved a liquor license transfer from the restaurant to The James, to be located in the building that was home to the Center Cafe on Great Plain Avenue.
