CASE #1 7:30 PM CONTINUED - Public notice is hereby given that Needham Presbyterian Church, 1458
Great Plain Avenue, Needham, MA, owner, has made application to the Board of Appeals
for a special permit under Sections 4.2.8.4, 5.1.1.5, 5.1.2, 5.1.3, 7.5.2 and any other
applicable Sections of the By-Law to waive strict adherence with the off-street parking
requirements, modify the transition area requirements of section 4.2.8.4, and permit the
expansion of the existing parking area through the addition of 10 new spaces including two
new handicapped accessible parking spaces. The property in question is 1458 Great Plain
Ave, Needham, MA, in the Single Residence B District.
CASE # 2 7:30 PM Public notice is hereby given that 180 Hillside Avenue, LLC, 264 Edgewater Drive,
Needham, MA, owner, has made application to the Board of Appeals for a Special Permit
under Section 3.2.2 of the Zoning By-Law for an apartment or multifamily dwelling; Section
1.4.6 of the Zoning By-Law for the change and extension of a lawful, pre-existing, nonconforming
use and the structural alteration, enlargement, and partial reconstruction of a
non-conforming building; and/or a variance under section 7.5.3 of the Zoning By-Law
and/or Section 7 of M.G.L. Chapter 40A, and any and all other relief necessary and
appropriate for the change, extension, alteration, enlargement and partial reconstruction of
the three-family dwelling at 180-182-184 Hillside Avenue and continued use thereof for
such purposes as shown on the plans submitted to the office of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
The property in question is located at 180-182-184 Hillside Avenue, Needham, MA in the
Hillside Avenue Business District.
CASE # 3 7:45 PM DEMINIMIS – Kelly Tran, representative of Tren Dinh (owner) requests a diminimis
change to the special permit issued on September 12, 2011. Ms. Tran wishes to offer
additional services including massage, day spa services, facials, waxing, body wraps,
aromatherapy and/or the sale of related products. Ms. Tran requests that the name on the
special permit be corrected to name Tren Dinh, the owner of the business and lessee, and the
$500.00 fee paid in connection with the original application be returned. The property in
question is 238 Highland Avenue in the Highland Commercial District.
