Green Communities Public Hearing

Courtesy of GreenNeedham.org:

The Green Communities Study Committee will hold a public hearing seeking community input regarding the adoption of the Stretch Building Code and other Green Communities qualifications on Monday, June 13 at 7 p.m. at Broadmeadow Elementary School.

This is an important step in the effort to have the town of Needham be certified as a Massachusetts Green Community. Becoming a Green Community is a commitment to reducing municipal energy usage, saving money, increasing the energy efficiency and energy performance of residences, offices and municipal buildings and supporting the development of a green economy in Massachusetts.
