Larceny at the High School, Asleep at the Wheel: Needham Police Log

February 4

1:00 p.m. - A student at Needham High School reported that her clothes had been stolen from her gym locker while she was in class. She said her locker was locked and that a black Patagonia vest, a pair of black Lulu Lemon leggings, and a gray long sleeve shirt were taken. She did not feel she was targeted or that it was done as a prank. There are no suspects at this time.

3:30 p.m. - An officer pulled a vehicle over on Highland Avenue at Wexford Street. After a short investigation the operator, a 48-year-old male Tewksbury resident, received a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.

11:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a report of a male party asleep behind the wheel in traffic at the intersection of Kendrick Street and Hunting Avenue. On arrival, the officer was able to wake the party and speak to him. The operator was not impaired by alcohol but due to his level of exhaustion, he was told he should not continue to drive. He called for a ride and was picked up without issue.

6:00 p.m. - An employee of Not Your Average Joe’s came into the station to report a lost/stolen green card, bank card, driver’s license, and cash.
