Mandarin Lunch, Tango Lesson Among Senior Activities This Week

A look ahead at Council on Aging programming at the Needham Senior Center.

With winter forecasts this week looking tamer than previous weeks, the Needham Council on Aging is looking to host a full week of programming at the Senior Center with dancing, movies and more.

Monday kicks off with a special lunch at Mandarin Chinese in Newton, followed line dancing at 11:45 a.m. and a weight management support group at 12:45 p.m.

Dancing will continue on Tuesday with a tango lesson at 2 p.m. Lisa will also return for an arthritis exercise at 2 p.m., while seniors can also take part in bridge, ping pong and cribbage throughout the day.

A special Art Class with Sheila will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Thursday will find piano lessons at 9:30 a.m., computer lessons at noon and another arthritis exercise with Lisa at 2 p.m.

The week will conclude with a senior strength exercise at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, quilting at 9:15 a.m. and a movie at 1 p.m.
