MBACC Hosts Story Slam: Tipping Point 12/18

What is a story slam? A story slam is our modern version of stories being told around the campfire

Mother Brook Arts & Community Center continues its Story Slam series on Thursday, Decem-ber 18, 2014 at 7:00 pm. The theme is “Tipping Point” and will be hosted by Daniel T. Barkowitz, Dedham Resident.

A story slam is our modern version of stories being told around the campfire. Come to listen to true stories, told without any notes, or to tell your own!- Daniel Barkowitz

Come and share your true five minute (or less) story with the audience and a panel of judges. Rather sit back and watch the events unravel? Listeners have an opportunity to par-ticipate in storytelling games and vote in an audience choice ballot.

On the night of the slam, competitors drop their name in a hat and are chosen at random to compete against other tellers for prizes. $100.00 dollars in cash prizes will be awarded to the top storytellers of the evening. There is a cash bar and free parking.

This slam will benefit Mother Brook Arts & Community Center. Tickets are $10.00 online (www.motherbrookarts.org/story-slam) and $15.00 at the door.
