Needham Boys' Basketball Star Commits To Brown
Boys' basketball standout Thomas Shaughnessy announced this week that he has verbally committed to playing basketball for Brown University.

NEEDHAM, MA — Starting with the 2018-19 season, one of the top athletes at Needham High School will be a Brown Bear.
Boys' basketball standout and senior Thomas Shaughnessy announced this week that he has verbally committed to playing basketball for Brown University.
In his junior season, he was named one of five Boston Globe Players of the Year and helped lead the Rockets to their first sectional title. He averaged 23 points per game during the 2016-17 campaign and was named the Bay State Conference MVP.

In an interview with the Needham Channel, Shaughnessy said Brown came out to all 22 of his summer games and knew he wanted to make the commitment.
