Needham Boys' Lax Ranked Among Top Teams

NEEDHAM, MA - Expectation will once again be high for the Needham High School boys' lacrosse team.

In the ESPN Boston preseason poll, the Rockets ranked ninth, the highest for any Bay State Conference team.

"The Rockets lose a talented senior class to graduation, but Needham has the tendency to reload, something we expect them to do yet again this season. Defenseman Sam Eisenstadt locks down the back end while junior attacker Antonio Trabucco becomes the go-to scorer," the website wrote.

Last year, the Rockets finished the year 18-2. Despite entering the MIAA Division 1 South tournament as the top seed, Needham was upset by Catholic Memorial 14-12 in the quarterfinals.
