Town Manager Kate Fitzpatrick related at a Board of Selectmen meeting that Town of Needham officials recently conducted a standard inspection of the Needham Golf Club and all of the club's facilities have been deemed suitable for public use. "There was quite a flurry of activity when we went to the course," Fitzpatrick said of the time the inspection took place. "The course looks beautiful." Fitzpatrick further stated that the course currently complies with all regulations.

Passion, politics, and pulse-pounding rhythm collide! Martín Palmeri’s “Misatango” electrifies the Latin Mass with fiery Argentinian “new tango,” blending chorus, bandoneón, and strings in a bold, emotional ride that has energized audiences on several continents. By embedding tango’s harmonic language, rhythms, and melodic designs in the orchestra, Palmeri frees the chorus to simply “sing the Mass”, plunging the audience into a world of uplifting emotions, passion, and syncopation.
Opening the concert is Lamentations of the Prophet Jeremiah by Alberto Ginastera, an intense work written in exile in 1946. Setting Latin texts from the Book of Lamentations and with dissonant harmonies, jagged rhythms, and stark contrasts, Ginasteri’s music expresses profound sorrow and spiritual desolation.
Adding to the verve of the Latin American program are scintillating dance performances by Boston-based tangueros, curated by bandoneonist Alex Roitman and accompanied by a tango instrumental ensemble.
