Needham Police Log: Disorderly Conduct, Dispute Between Neighbors, and More

September 24

5:15 p.m. - An officer responded to a Capt. Robert Cook Drive residence for a reported verbal dispute between two neighbors there. Both parties agreed to separate, and seek a resolution at a later time.

9:20 p.m - Officers responded to a Capt Robert Cook Dr residence for a reported disturbance caused by a resident of the area. A 57-year-old Needham man will be summoned to Dedham District Court for disorderly conduct.

September 25

3:35 p.m. - Officers took a walk-in report from a Needham resident involving a wireless account that was opened under his name without his knowledge. Verizon Wireless will be handling the matter internally in cooperation with the victim.

5:45 p.m. - Officers responded to a Guild Road residence for the report of an intoxicated male party trying to drive away from the residence. Upon arrival, the officer observed the male outside the vehicle, which was not running, in the driveway. After talking with the male party it was determined that he was highly intoxicated so he was placed into protective custody.


September 26

1:50 p.m. - An officer on selective enforcement in the area of Highland and Second Avenues stopped a motor vehicle for failing to display a front number plate and failing to display an inspection sticker. After further investigation, it was determined that the operator, a 26-year-old Brighton man, was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The operator will be cited and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, number plate violation, and no inspection sticker. The citation was handed to the operator in hand and he was advised that criminal charges were going to be sought against him. A licensed operator then drove the vehicle away.
