Needham Youth Services Seeks High School Mentors

Needham Youth Services seeks high school students for its VIP Program for the 2015-2016 academic school year.

The VIP Program --- Valuable Interactions among Peers --- is a peer mentoring program matching a Needham High School student (these students are the “Big VIPs”) with a student in 3rd to 5th grade to provide social interaction for the younger student (these students are the “Little VIPs”). The students will meet once a week; supervised by two Youth Services’ staff. During their time together they will play games, participate in activities, share stories, and talk with one another.

We are currently accepting applications for Big VIPS for the 2015-2016 academic school year. Applications are available at the Needham Youth Services office online at www.needhamma.gov/youth/VIP .

8th graders who will be entering 9th grade in September 2015 are encouraged to apply. All Big VIPs are eligible for Community Classroom Credit.
