Needham's Aly Raisman Second at US Gymnastics Championship

Needham, MA — The road to Rio is well underway for Needham's Aly Raisman.

A member of the 2012 U.S. Gymnastics team, Raisman is hoping for a return trip to the games. At last weekend's USA Gymnastic Championships, the Needham native finished second behind Simone Biles, who became the first American to win four straight national titles since Joan Moore Gnat from 1971-74.

Next up for Raisman is the Olympic Trials. Will Graves of the AP says that Raisman may be the best gymnast in the world not named Biles and put together the two best days of her career at the championship.

The US Olympic Trials will take place on July 8 and 10.
