Needham's Aly Raisman and Team USA Advance to Gymnastics Final

For the second Olympics is a row, Needham’s Aly Raisman will compete for a gold medal in the women’s gymnastics team competition.

Team USA finished at the top of the qualifying round with 185.238 points. In the all-around standings, Raisman was second with 60.607 points. American Simone Biles sits at the top the standings with 62.366 points.

The score sends Raisman and Biles to the individual competition. The U.S. is allowed to send their top two athletes past the team competition.

• Vault: 15.766
• Uneven Bars: 14.733
• Balance Beam: 14.833
• Floor Exercise: 14.833
• All-Around: 60.607

The top eight teams and top 24 individuals will advance to Tuesday’s final.
