OUI, Stolen Items, Disturbance Leads to Drug Arrest: Needham Police Log
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges don't imply conviction.

February 26
10:30 a.m. - A Bond Street resident told police that someone in California attempted to take over and obtain new credit/Debit cards for two of her accounts.
12:30 p.m. - A Needham resident told police he was involved in a hit and run crash on Hunnewell Street near the Wellesley Line. The other operator did not leave any information. He will notify his insurance company.

12:30 p.m. - The owner of Garment Machinery Company on Reservoir Street reported that one of his employees had taken a laptop and made unauthorized charges on a company credit card. The Needham police are investigating.
6:00 p.m. - An officer responded to the Sheraton on Cabot Street for a report of an employee receiving threatening text messages. The threats were documented and security checks of the area will continue.

February 27
2:50 a.m. - An officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the area of Webster and Howland Streets after witnessing the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and failing to stop for a red light. As a result of the stop the operator, Alex Melander, 24, of Needham, was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
11:45 p.m. - Officers responded to the rear of a Charles River Landing on Second Avenue for a reported disturbance and individuals yelling. Three youths were encountered. After an investigation, all three Needham Juveniles will be summoned to Dedham District Court for underage possession of alcohol and were given civil citations for possession of under one ounce of marijuana.
