• Police Log: Driver and Passenger Extricated after Crash, Resident Reports Assault in Friend's Home, Vehicle Break-Ins (town.news) — Needham comes up twice in this Westwood police log: officers there alerted Westwood to a woman reportedly yelling for help from a BMW heading down Chestnut Street, and an intoxicated train passenger was later taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham. The log also details local crashes, shoplifting, car break-ins, and other recent incidents in nearby Westwood neighborhoods. 
• Skidmore men's soccer welcomes incoming recruiting class (skidmoreathletics.com) — A Needham high school soccer standout, Jacob, is joining Skidmore College's men's soccer program as part of a 12-player recruiting class. Coaches praise him as a tough, vocal defender and natural leader, expecting his passing range and competitive edge to strengthen their backline immediately.
