Pro-Choice Groups Backing D’Alessandro

The campaign to elect Mac D'Alessandro announced on Thursday that their candidate has earned the endorsements of NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC, the National Organization for Women PAC and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.

"I'm proud to have the support of NARAL, NOW, and Planned Parenthood in my campaign for Congress," said D'Alessandro in a statement released this week. "At a time when we see attacks on choice, such as the Stupak amendment during health-care reform, it's more important than ever that we elect leaders who are willing to stand up for what's right. As a Congressman, I'll be a strong and consistent voice in support of policies that protect women's reproductive freedom and privacy."

D'Alessandro is running against fellow Democrat Stephen Lynch in the primary for Congress in the 9^th District on Sept. 14.
