Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele announced that prosecutors would retry the case and a new trial date will be set after the jurors declared themselves hopelessly deadlocked. (Patch)

Bruce Springsteen, who has spent the past two years on tour bringing his show to arenas around the world, is looking at staging his show in a more intimate setting: Broadway. Reports say The Boss is eyeing the Walter Kerr Theater for an eight-week run. (Patch)

In Washington, D.C., for a series of meetings with lawmakers asking them to oppose President Trump's attempt to defund the Legal Services Corporation, Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh made a side trip to President and Michelle Obama to discuss Trump's move and also ask them to be honorary captains for a game this coming season. Driver Killed At Mount Rainier
One person died Saturday when an SUV drove over a cliff at an off-road vehicle park inside Mount Rainier National Park. A second person was injured in the crash and airlifted from the scene. The accident happened at the Evans Creek off-road vehicle park. (Patch)
Border Patrol Raids Humanitarian Aid Camp
Border Patrol agents raided a humanitarian aid camp in the Arizona desert on Friday and arrested four people whom they say were in the country illegally. The camp called it an unprecedented show of force and said it was a violation of the group's agreement with local border patrol agents. (Patch)
Carrie Fisher Died Of Sleep Apnea
Actress Carrie Fisher died of sleep apnea, according to an autopsy report released Friday by the Los Angeles County Coroner's office. The report indicates Fisher died of sleep apnea and "other undetermined factors," including heart disease and drug use, though the significance of the drug use was "not ascertained." (Patch)

Whole Foods Buy By Amazon Seen As Positive In Austin
While some have concerns about the purchase of Austin-based Whole Foods by online retail giant Amazon, the deal is getting good reviews at home. The Austin Chamber of Commerce issued a statement calling it a positive for the community. (Patch)
