Songwriters to Gather in Natick This Friday Evening
An evening of music and networking for songwriters looking for a band or collaboration
TCAN’s Rock Off Main Street, a monthly all-ages rock band event supported in part by the Needham Cultural Council, in conjunction with Pavoh, presents “Songwriter Spotlight”, a night of music, education and networking for teen singers, songwriters, and musicians looking for a band or collaboration. The evening features singers recognized by the RADAR Awards and Pavoh. They will share their music and writing process followed by Q and A. The evening concludes with open networking and an opportunity to meet with local experts. All attendees will receive a contact list. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. This all ages event is $8 at the door or $7 with a coupon.
“We are excited to announce a special edition of Rock Off Main Street (ROM) with Pavoh,” said Diane Young, Rock Off Main Street Founder. “We are seeing more individual performers and now feature a singer songwriter at each ROM event.”“This is a great way to get inspired for a summer filled with music and songwriting,” said Laura Lamere, Pavoh Founder. “We are being asked to offer more opportunities for teen musicians to network and collaborate and Rock Off Main is the perfect venue!”
The June Rock Off Main Street “Songwriter Spotlight” performers will include Kenny Ruetenik and Molly Reinold as well as RADAR performers Angelina Botticelli, Kayla and Lizzy Marella. Host and moderator for the evening will be Pavoh’s Sarah Hall, formerly with Warner Music Group’s distribution company, WEA, and Atlantic Records in New York City.

About Rock Off Main Street
TCAN’s successful Rock Off Main rock music program is an all-ages show that provides a venue for local bands to take their eclectic mix of music out of their basements and put it on stage where it belongs, performing for their peers. The program is supported by Berklee College of Music, and by a grant from the Weston and Needham Cultural Councils, which are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
About TCAN
The Center for Arts in Natick was founded in 1997 with a mission to bring people together through a common interest in the arts. Its initial success in a rented storefront became the foundation for a multi-year $2M capital campaign to purchase and restore Natick’s historic Central Firehouse building, originally constructed in 1875, as a dedicated performance space and gallery. The firehouse provides a home for over 200 concert events annually, year-round children’s theater and dance education programs, visual arts exhibits and receptions, and a thriving community theater organization. TCAN has since grown to become the MetroWest region’s premiere nonprofit arts organization, with strong patron support from every town in the region.
About Pavoh
Named after a constellation, Pavoh brings together youth of all backgrounds to make music. Founded in 2012, Pavoh’s mission is to empower youth with a network of resources, partnerships and programs that position them for success and help them find their voice through music.
Both Pavoh and TCAN are non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations.
