Town Meeting members returned to Powers Hall in Town Hall for Special Town Meeting Monday evening after conducting the last several Town Meetings/Special Town meetings outdoors due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Members gathered for about two hours to act on a series of warrant articles that allow the Town to implement certain policies and spend funds for needed projects. Below is the results of how Town Meeting voted on each article. The Needham Channel will post the video of Special Town Meeting to its website Wednesday, October 27th. ARTICLE 1 AMEND THE FY2022 SEWER ENTERPRISE FUND BUDGET – passed by unanimous consent

ARTICLE 2 AMEND THE FY2022 WATER ENTERPRISE FUND BUDGET  – passed by unanimous consent

ARTICLE 3 APPROPRIATE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT FEES – passed by unanimous consent

ARTICLE 4 AMEND THE ZONING BY-LAW – OUTDOOR SEATING – passed by unanimous consent

ARTICLE 5 AMEND ZONING BY-LAW – CHESTNUT STREET BUSINESS DISTRICT FRONT SETBACK – passed by unanimous consent

ARTICLE 6 APPROPRIATE FOR RIDGE HILL BUILDINGS DEMOLITION – adopted after debate/discussion

ARTICLE 7 APPROPRIATE FOR EMERY GROVER BUILDING DESIGN  - adopted after debate/discussion

ARTICLE 8 APPROPRIATE FOR SOLAR INSTALLATION AT JACK COGSWELL BUILDING – passed by unanimous consent

ARTICLE 9 APPROPRIATE TO ATHLETIC FACILITY IMPROVEMENT FUND – passed by unanimous consent

ARTICLE 10 HOME RULE PETITION TO ADJUST THE NUMBER OF OFF-PREMISES ALCOHOL LICENSES – adopted after debate/discussion

ARTICLE 11 A RESOLUTION CONCERNING DECLARATION OF CLIMATE AND ECOLOGICAL EMERGENCY – adopted after debate/discussion

ARTICLE 12 A NON-BINDING RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE AMENDMENT OF THE CURRENT ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS (ADUS) BY-LAW – referred the subject matter of the article to the Planning Board
