Willow St. Area Residents Invited to Forum Tonight to Discuss Bridge Project
Elements of the project have started and DPW wants to keep neighbors abreast of what's taking place.
After residents told Town officials at a June 22 meeting that they felt left out of what was happening with the Willow Street bridge project, it was decided that a public forum should be organized to allow homeowners a chance to find out more and ask questions. Tonight that meeting takes place at 500 Dedham Avenue.
"We sought assistance from the state and we will have a neighborhood meeting," said Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Rick Merson.
Craig Sheehan of the Mass. Department of Transportation will attend the meeting and outline the proposed schedule for work on the bridge.

The project was advertised on July 3, according to a memo released by Town Engineer Tony Del Gaizo, and it will replace the bridge structures and wingwalls. A project handout is available at www.mass.gov/mhd.
"We're in the beginning stages of the project," said Merson. "The majority of the work will likely being in 2011."
