Rain or shine
Limit: Two boxes per person
Residents are encouraged to arrive by 10:45 a.m. The Shred-it® truck will depart promptly at 11:00 a.m. and may reach capacity before the event ends.
What to Bring
Examples of documents you may wish to shred include:
- Bank statements
- Medical records
- Retired tax documents
- Other confidential papers
Paper clips and staples are okay.
Accepting intact paper only.
No paper that has already been shredded.
Please remove paper from binders and folders.
Event Details
- All are welcome. There is no residency requirement.
- Staff will remove boxes from vehicles, empty papers into collection carts, and return empty boxes. Participants will take their boxes with them as they leave the event.
- To keep traffic moving, participants will not be able to watch their documents being shredded.
- Shred-it follows rigorous security standards certified by the National Association for Information Destruction.
- Each participant may bring up to two standard-size copy paper boxes.
- Boxes should weigh no more than 30 to 40 pounds so they can be safely handled by event staff.
Traffic Pattern
Enter from the north side of Keith Middle School and follow the designated traffic route behind the school to the shred truck located in the parking lot on the south side of the building.
