JCC Adult Learning Series

Senior adults can explore new interests, develop greater understanding of current events and learn simple exercise techniques at an upcoming six-week adult learning series called Explorations: Adult Learning and Enrichment. Explorations will take place at Temple Beth Avodah (45 Puddingstone Lane) in Newton beginning Thursday, July 14.

Participants can engage in lively discussions and active learning about women who shaped the world; take Tai Chi (a centuries-old discipline for health, relaxation and meditation); and learn decoupage in a hands-on art class. Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby, Jewish Advocate writer Thomas Mountain, American Jewish Committee past president Larry Lowenthal and Northeastern University journalism professor Daniel Kennedy will lead the sessions on current events.

Explorations will take place from 10am-12:30pm. Cost is $60. Discount available for JCC members. To register, contact 617-558-6443 or seniors@jccgb.org.  All arts and humanities offerings at the JCC are programs of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Center for the Arts.
