The Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton will hold a basketball clinic on four consecutive Sundays, beginning November 6, for children in grades 1-5. The program is designed to prepare children for the upcoming winter basketball league season. The clinic will focus on shooting skills (11/6), passing and catching skills (11/13), defense and rebounding (11/20) and a culmination of all skills on Nov 27. Children will be divided by age and ability. The clinic, which runs from 4-6pm each night, will be led by popular recreation specialists Peter Sylvester and Ben Maki. Cost is $50 per clinic or $165 for all four sessions. Register online at www.jccgb.org/register or contact 617-558-6456 or sports@jccgb.org. The JCC is open to the entire community.
