Find Woman Who Threw Soup On Me: New England Soup Factory Owner
An angry woman at the New England Soup Factory on Needham St. threw hot soup in the owner's face, said the owner. Police are investigating.

NEWTON, MA— The owner of Newton's New England Soup Factory is asking for the public's help in finding the angry customer who she said threw soup on her Monday, after an argument about spoons.
"The woman driving away in this car just left our restaurant. I was helping her put together her lunch. She was difficult but I was fine. I offered her samples of soup, and she was asking for spoons. I told her we just sip the samples from the sample cup. She started to argue with me and I asked her to leave. She took her hot soup and threw it in my face," Marjorie Druker, 54, posted to her Facebook page where she included a photo of the car she said the woman got into.
When police arrived the woman who reportedly threw soup on the restaurant owner was gone, but police noted soup stains on Druker's shirt, according to the police report.

But the New England Soup Factory owner and executive chef said the Newton Police told her basically their hands were tied, and they might not be able to find the driver of the car because the car was leased.
So Druker, who graduated from Mason Rice and Newton North, said she is hoping the community can help.
She described the woman as older with what Druker believed to be a thick Russian accent. Druker said the woman came in for lunch while her car was being detailed in the Needham Street parking lot. She told police that the woman was wearing a maroon outfit.
Newton Police tell Patch the assault report is under investigation.
The restaurant first opened in Brookline in 1995 and then expanded to Newton. The Brookline spot has since closed shop, because of ongoing construction and new ownership of the buildings.
In the more than two decades Druker has had a soup business, no one has ever thrown soup in her face, she told Patch. Druker said she's not sure whether she'd actually press charges against the woman even if she found out who it was. But she plans to hand it over to the police.
"My customers and employees were amazing and stood by me but the whole experience wasn’t pleasant. I got mad at her and swore at her," said Druker.
