Multi-Service Eating Disorders Association (MEDA) Opens Recruitment for Board of Directors

The Multi-Service Eating Disorders Association (MEDA), the premier nonprofit eating disorders organization in New England, announced today that it is seeking dedicated leaders to join its Board of Directors, including the key officer position of Board Treasurer.

For over 30 years, MEDA has been dedicated to the prevention and compassionate treatment of eating disorders, striving to ensure that EveryBODY has access to recovery and support. MEDA provides a crucial safety net through counseling, community education, professional training, and advocacy.

As MEDA expands its strategic reach, the organization is actively recruiting candidates with professional backgrounds in:

·Accounting & Financial Management (specifically for the Board Treasurer vacancy)

·Nonprofit Fundraising & Philanthropy (Individual and Corporate Giving)

·Human Resources & Organizational Development

Board members serve a three-year term, contributing an estimated 1 to 3 hours per week through monthly board meetings, committee work, and advocacy efforts. While prior board experience is welcomed, MEDA strongly encourages applications from passionate advocates, emerging leaders, and individuals with lived experience in recovery or mental health advocacy.
