Newton based non-profit LEAS LAB receives $30,000 Cummings Grant

LEAS LAB is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a generous grant of $30,000 over the next three years from the Cummings Foundation. This significant funding will bolster LEAS LAB’s mission to empower aspiring scientists and enhance educational opportunities in our community.

The grant from Cummings Foundation will enable LEAS LAB to expand its programs and initiatives, providing valuable resources and support to students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. This funding will directly contribute to the organization's efforts to foster a love for science and empower the next generation of innovators and leaders.

"There is a gap in college education and the laboratory workplace competency skills needed to be successful in the biotech space, LEAS Lab is thrilled to have been awarded this grant and with this generous grant we can keep providing our upskilling program for free for our college student population interested in Biotech Careers," said Uzochi Erlingsson MD co-founder.
