Newton Police: Multiple Car Breaks; Stolen Fanny Pack, Golf Clubs, Bike
The following are excerpts from the Newton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Incidents, June 24
- Police responded to Watertown Street for a report of a past breaking and entering to a motor vehicle. He said that he parked his car on Watertown Street the previous night. At approximately 5 a.m. he exited his house and noticed his trunk slightly open. He discovered his golf clubs missing. He then saw papers on his seat that were previously in the center. He thought he had locked his car, but wasn’t sure.
- Police responded to Sumner Street for a report of a past larceny. A woman said that her fanny pack was stolen from her shopping cart on June 23 at approximately 12:56 p.m. She was shopping at Shaw’s and had paid for her items. She continued to the parking lot and set her fanny pack in her shopping cart. She loaded her vehicle and believes when she turned her back someone walked by and stole her fanny pack. The fanny pack was blue canvas and had cash, a license, gift cards and a credit card.
- Police responded to Watertown Street for a past breaking and entering to a motor vehicle. A man said that sometime on the previous night his unlocked 2005 blue Chrysler van and stole his GPS, loose change and Indian passport. The vehicle was parked on Faxon Street.
- A woman visited headquarters to report that on June 10 her Schwinn Frontier 17 bike that she rode to school at Newton North and locked was gone when she came out from her classes.
