Newton Resident To Publish Book Benefitting Asian Community
Ingrid Chiemi Schroffner's book will benefit the Asian Community Development Corporation.

NEWTON, MA — Newton resident Ingrid Chiemi Schroffner is publishing a book that will benefit the Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC), an organization that has created and preserved over 300 affordable homes in Chinatown and the Greater Boston area.
The publication, titled Karma Bank to Following by Listening, is a book of Schroffner’s song lyrics with artwork from various artists. It is set to be released on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
"I’ve been writing songs for years, and used to perform them out before having kids,” said Schroffner in an email. "When the pandemic hit and I started working remotely for the first time ever, I integrated the music into my day with the commute time I was saving.”

"I hope folks find beauty and joy in this book, as it’s comprised of pieces from the last couple of years in an effort to share that,” she continued.
Schroffner, a lawyer by practice, has been involved with the ACDC for many years as a member, officer, and President of the Asian Lawyers Association. When she was in a lawyer’s calendar in 2009, she donated her portion of the proceeds to ACDC as well.
