Weather Update: Snow, Sleet Makes Messy Tuesday Commute in Newton
The forecast got a little worse, with snow starting late Monday night. A winter advisory has been issued.

NEWTON, MA -- Snow changing to sleet will accumulate around one- to three inches across most of southern New England on Monday after midnight.
According to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Alert system the snow will change to sleet, with the highest amounts of 3-6 inches over northwest Massachusetts. The bulk of the snowfall will be late on Monday night.
The National Weather Service for northern and central Massachusetts, including Newton, has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 10 p.m. on Monday to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
