North Andover Launches Senior Center Project Portal
Contractor bidding on the project is currently open, according to the new website.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The town of North Andover launched a website for tracking the ongoing Senior Center project, Thursday, with information on the latest project, the timeline, and the project background. It also includes links documents related to the project, including plans and decisions. The most recent action was a "pre-bid conference" with pre-qualified contractors, as part of the current open bidding period.
General bids for the project are due on Feb. 27, according to the new website. The timeline foresees construction beginning in June, following a town meeting vote on appropriating funds.
"Construction is scheduled to be completed within 14 months from the start of construction," the site notes. The process began with the May 2012 Facility Master Plan, and continued with three town meeting appropriations over the last three years. The Planning Board approved a permit in September.
