North Andover Town Staff Working To Fix Tax Bill Issue

The town's tax billing company accidentally sent bills for the third and fourth quarter, rather than just the third.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Electronic tax bills are expected to be fixed by Monday, Jan. 6, after an error resulted in residents being sent double bills, containing two quarters worth of taxes. According to the town, the mistake was made by the town's billing company. By Monday, a new bill will be sent with solely the third quarter bill, rather than the third and fourth quarters combined.

Tax bills will be accepted until Feb. 7 without penalty, the town said. Only electronic bills were affected.

Residents whose bills are still wrong after the corrected emails are encouraged to call the tax collector's office at 978-688-9550.
