Woman Who Had Charges Dropped In Fatal Crash: 'Can't Touch This'

Shiina Dionne​, 28, of Lawrence, took a social media victory lap hours after prosecutors dropped OUI and vehicular manslaughter charges.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- Turtleboy Sports posted a screen shot of a Facebook post by Shiina Dionne, the 28-year-old woman who had charges dropped in the crash that killed a North Andover tow truck driver. In the post, Dionne wrote "My case is being dropped * plays MC Hammers [sic] 'Can't Touch This'."

Prosecutors dropped all charges against against Dionne Wednesday after toxicology reports showed she did not have alcohol or drugs in her system at the time of the March crash that killed Dan Coady, 41. Dionne had been charged with operating under the influence and motor vehicle homicide after the car she was driving allegedly plowed into Coady, 41, as he worked a two-car crash on Interstate 495 in Andover.

In addition to the negative toxicology tests, prosecutors said the presence of black ice and and a reconstruction team's investigation that did not reveal any extreme driving conduct factored into the decision to drop the charges.
