Local small business owner and advocate Ceylan Rowe today announced that the Secretary of State’s office has certified her signatures, meaning Rowe is officially on the Democratic ballot to represent the 12th Worcester District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
“I’m running to represent our communities because I’ve been serving people for most of my life through humanitarian work, empowering women in business, and bringing communities together across faith and cultural lines,” Rowe said. “Throughout this service, I’ve always looked for innovative solutions, and I am eager to bring this approach to the State House because the challenges we’re facing today require a different approach than what we’ve seen on Beacon Hill for years.”

Ceylan launched her campaign on her 38th birthday in November and promptly signed the Act on Mass Transparency Pledge, committing to bring accountability to the Massachusetts legislature, one of the most secretive in the county. She is committed to being a full-time representative championing bold solutions for education, small business, gender equity, health care, and climate.
Ceylan owns a socially responsible small business, is a Commissioner for the MetroWest Commission on the Status of Women, a child of immigrants, an MBA candidate at Babson College, and a proud Northborough resident living with her husband and their two children.

“I’m grateful to the hundreds of voters in Berlin, Boylston, Clinton, Lancaster, Northborough and Sterling who signed my nomination papers on and around the March 3 primary election, and to all six Town Clerks who certified 314 signatures during these difficult times,” Rowe said. “We need a State Representative who is truly committed to serving the public. We need someone who will be accessible to everyone in our towns. That’s how we’re running our campaign, and how I will serve our communities.”
